Telus mobility solicitations (a SCAM?)

I have had Telus cellular plan since the 80's.

I got an unsolicited call from a person claiming to be a Telus rep who knows the details of my phone plan and has great offers that will not cost$ me anything. We are recoding this call for quality assurance. So I listen. Why do I have to verbally approve FREE offers?

I did a that few years ago and it took months to have it returned to my original plan.

Nothing is free, they record you saying "I approve", but you do not have that recording when your bill arrives.

Buyer beware.

If Telus wants to move me from 50GB of data to 200GB and give no roaming with unlimited calling in North America, then just say Happy Birthday or Merry Christmas. Don't try and con me to renew my 2 year contractwith these wild offers and say it is FREE.

To know exactly what could happen, compare your current plan details to the offerings of the same plan today. Whatever new I agreed to also lost some things I had and which were available at an add on price.
