The other night (Sat.) the prerecorded game was chunky SNETW and I now know it's not my cables etc. Since I was close to live I jumped ahead to live and searched for other stations having Hockey Night in Canada - all were jerky until I hit CBCHD and it was fine. Of course other nights there is no such choice and the jerky game is almost unbearable - NOT very pleased.
