Prepaid SIM card online activation

AlexiaS
Just Moved In
I try to activate my newly purchased SIM card in m’y European iPhone 6 which is unlocked. The SIM card number is validated, but when I enter all the personal information, it doesn’t want to proceed further. I’ve been trying for 3 days (thinking the service was down at the moment).
At which step do we get our phone number? Because I have to enter a contact number in my personal information, but having not got the Canadian number yet, I use my European number.
Thank you for your help!

You should get a number assigned to your account almost instantly. I wonder if using the European contact number (not a North American dialing plan) is causing the problem. Have you a local number you can use temporarily, such as the location you are staying? You can change it later in 'My Account' if you need to change it again.

Until your personal information is complete, the account is not fully set up.

If you are still having difficulties, connect with Telus staff more directly through a phone call, chat, Facebook or Twitter, as described in the Contact Us section at the bottom of the page.
