Easy Roam US

If I already have the Canada/Us/Mexico plan, should I remove the US easy roam prior to going there?

If you have that plan, you shouldn't need to deactivate it when traveling.

I have easy roam too. As I understand it only turn on roam on the days you want to make phone calls or search the internet, then you are charged $14 in US and $16 Mexico for all usage in that 24 hour period. Text messages come through at no charge. So I think the answer is turn off roaming until you need to save from the pay per use.

For a daily fee you can use the data, texts and minutes from the same monthly rate plan you use at home when you travel.
Data usage does not apply when using Wi-Fi or if data roaming is turned off.

so plan your calls and emails and have people text or you text otherwise. Turn on roaming before you dial/email.

Turning off roaming on your device does not stop it from roaming and does not stop you from being billed for EasyRoam.  Many apps can override your devices settings to connect to data services when you have them disabled.  WhatsApp is a good example that can and will hand off a call to celular from WiFi, making it billable, without any warning or notifocation.  Find My Device as well as many other system apps, whether it's Apple, Samsung  or another manufacturer, can use your data even when you turn off data roaming.  If you don't want to be charged for using EasyRoam.  Put your device in Airplane Mode before you arrive at the roaming destination and leave it in Airplane Mode while outside of Canada.
