Are you referring to a mobile hotspot? That's on Telus' main site.

Some thoughts...

  • for brief usage... many smartphones have a hotspot feature.  So you don't need to get a separate device.
  • pay attention to your data consumption.  Possibly daily.  I found when laptops connect to a hotspot, the consumption is higher than a mobile device.  If you are sharing the device with others, sometimes they loose track of the consumption too, especially LTE.

Also remember that connecting other devices to a hotspot bypasses any download restrictions which may be set on the device. As the connected device sees it is connected to Wi-Fi, it may download large updates, etc., as it is on Wi-Fi, not cellular. This is especially the case if connecting a cellular phone through a hotspot.
