No, the device balance is not a separate part of the plan. You can choose to switch to a BYOD plan instead of your current plan, if you wish.

I think this is the single most confusing thing for mobility customers. Providers should simply tell the truth, and say: "Your phone depreciates by 25.00 per month until after two years it reaches a value of 0.00." I think most customers would understand this. Smiley Happy

Koodo separates the subsidy of the phone from the plan costs, by use of their 'Tab' program. Based on the content of their forums, it does not reduce confusion. Robot LOL
