Hello, we are going to New Zealand and want to get an E sim card once there. We have an Iphone 15. Is this phone "unlocked" and so can accept a temporary sim?
Many thanks.

All phones sold in Canada after Dec 2017 should be unlocked. iPhone 15 was released on 2023, so yes it’s unlocked.

A friend on another network (not Telus) found his phone was not unlocked. Unfortunately, this was only discovered on arrival at his destination. If you have a friend with coverage on a different network (Bell or Roger’s) and can borrow their SIM for a few minutes, you can confirm.

Depends on how old their phone was and if it was bought in Canada or not. The network provider should be able to unlock it for free. But swapping SIM’s before you go is a good idea.
