v9, he lives in Guyana. Telus won't help him as he isn't a customer and they don't have any obligation to. He may have purchased a Telus cell phone down there, or gotten it some other way. If he lives outside of Canada, there is nothing any company here will do for him, especially without active service.

Not if you're in Guyana. If you were in Canada on the Telus network, yes, help could be provided.

Okay then if i was in Canada on telus, i don't you think i would have needed a pin. There is no telus in Guyana, obviously, so i need the pin to use the available networks.

Hi Dequan_Wray, TELUS can only unlock devices for active TELUS accounts.

I'm sorry but that doesn't really make sense to me but i'll accept it.

Thank you anyway

I'm disappointed you couldn't help

I have to unlock it the harder way now

How's life in Guyana - Dequan-Wray: Hot greetings from  "v9" just read your question & additional replies. You talk about  - Quote. [I put in a micro sim, it says sim network unlock pin. can you help me to get that pin]. The best reply could be provided by Telus-Customer/Service.

If you left Canada, without Set up an (International-Connection) cost more than $150.monthly, from what I heard & Now you're trying to connect the phone, over there. The Device ask to enter a Network-Pin to unlock it. Could be wrong, but I don't think a contributor, can provide that Pin. Contact -Telus to fix the issue. If your account is still Active as suggested by [m_ols-MOD] Answer back to forum.  Bye "v9"

Hi Nighthawk. yes, you're correct, without an active mobile account, we can't unlock this phone. We need to be able to add the $35 fee and we must also make sure that the IMEI isn't reported as stolen/lost. Many thanks and have yourself a great day!
