I bought my BlackBerry Passport (original Black) a couple of months ago. When friends of mine see my Passport, they are impressed with all the cool features, innovative touch-enabled keyboard and productivity. They are sold! Some of them (including my wife) know that Passport Silver Edition was released two months ago but Telus has yet to carry it. Also, some of them wish to get the first Android-powered Blackberry slider phone "BlackBerry Priv" when it launches in November. Will Telus carry both of them?

Some devices are carrier specific depending on what kind of agreements each has with Blackberry. If Telus is getting them, we won't know until they actually announce it.

Sure they'll sell the Priv since it will be android powered or as Chen says it runs google, lol. Can't see them getting the silver edition passport as sales are so small. If you want one buy it from blackberry unlocked. But honestly i wouldn't bother with a BB10 phone as it looks like the OS is pretty much in maintenance mode (aka slow death).

Well, some people cheer for Android OS because of its ecosystem while the others such as myself love BB 10 OS. BB10 OS is by far the best mobile OS with true multitasking (8 apps running at a time), excellent calendar to handle appointment and tasks, fluid gesture-based navigation flow and unmatched security and privacy. @WestCoasterBC, I disagree to part of your statement "BB10 OS is pretty much in maintenance mode". As Chen emphasizes, they keep BB10 OS because some people need it such as government and regulated industry. It won't die anytime soon. 10.3.3 is in the works.
I know TELUS may not get silver edition passport due to low sales volume and people can buy unlocked ones from Shop BlackBerry. However, not everyone can afford a phone outright. TELUS should consider this, carrying limited quantity to satisfy some customers.

Please release this. I want the Priv.
750 CAD is the perfect price too.

It is rumored to be priced at US$630. Not sure what is going to be the conversion rate from US$ to CAD though!

This will be Blackberry's last kick at the can. Sadly i feel this device will be over priced like each of it's predecessors were and it will be lights out for the hardware division once and for all.
I can't see them selling 5 million PRIV which is what Chen sad they NEEDED to keep the hardware side rolling.
I'll probably try it out and if it's a bad phone sell it while there is a demand for it.. What i do hate is the big bump on the back where the camera lens is. Hope they got it right this time, the last slider they had was horrible! The big mah battery in the priv should get a person through an entire day on heavy usage which is a big plus..

The SE is not a carrier phone. It will only be sold directly.
