I got blocked from my own laptop and printer!! They are both identified as PARENT ( not child) so there should be no restrictions at all, and yet I'm blocked. Why??
Also, I have restrictions on my kid's phones but I'm not sure it's working. Can they change the Mac address of their phones? I've noticed there are like 5 different Mac addresses for iphones when there should only be 2!!

Not sure about the issues with your laptop and printer.
I do know that IOS 12 added 'private address' as the default for iPhones. To reduce this privacy risk, iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and watchOS 7 use a different MAC address for each Wi-Fi network. If you don't like this you can disable it.
After updating to IOS 12 my phone showed up on my Wi-Fi as an Unknown device (previously appeared as APPLE) with a new MAC address.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. It's my kids that have iphones, not me, so I don't have access to their phones
