I heard about and wanted to confirm that Telus is making an elderly woman with mobility and health issues wait 5 days before restoring her home phone service which is required for medic alert to work?
As a member of the family this is quite concerning not just to be but as a standard of practice.

There are a number of factors that come in to play in terms of restoring service, such as the reason the service itself is down, if there's a technical issue, etc. Are you aware of the reason that the landline was down?
