How can I get out of a telus service agreement?

I called Telus a few months ago because my internet bill was getting ridiculously high. I was paying almost double what some people in my family were paying, and they had more services than just internet. I eventually made it to the loyalty customer service side and i said to either bring my bill down substantially or cancel my account. I was basing the pricing off what a competitor was offering for similar setup. He talked about all these discounts he could apply and make it work, while we were on the phone he reduced my overpriced bill to a few dollars less than what we agreed upon. He increased my internet speed even though I said I don’t need it, then he said he got my current bill down a few dollars less then our agreed upon amount, for that month. Now they are charging me $30 more than what we agreed upon, and they’re saying the call I had with last customer service rep locked me into a 2yr agreement at this rate. Turns out the discounts were only applied for a month and now if I want to cancel, I have to pay over $300 just to cancel out of an agreement I was falsely lead into. How can I get out from Telus service agreement without paying this fee?
