Do Apple software updates count for data?

Hi.

Do Apple iOS updates count towards data usage? I did several updates yesterday and they don’t show up in my usage today.

Any iOS updates  (OTA) performed over a mobile network consumes Data on your data plan. If you are connected to Wi-Fi then of course it won't consume your data. It can take up to 24 hours for data usage stats to refresh.

I figured. The data usage is not showing up in the Telus app. Over 5gigs worth of downloads and nothing.

it consumes quite a bit of data if you are on a personal data plan, it can consume it all, i had the same problem because i forgot to switch to wifi
