Unexpected Bill Increase After Renewal
Has anyone else experienced being ripped off by TELUS?
My 24 month contract was up for renewal in November. I called mid October to renew so I wasn’t charged extra… my bill came and it went from $1...

2 years agoHey JodyZ2 - we always bill a month in advance so from an outside perspective into your situation I would say that your call happened on, or shortly after your billing cycle which triggered a full month of service costs.
Did the renewing agent help credit those fees?

The renewing agent gave me a $50 credit so I still paid almost $100 extra than usual.
Plus, why would my renewal go from December to November to October? I was told to call by September next time to avoid charges. I’m sure I was told to call by before November this time, which I did.

As we mentioned, billing is done a month in advance. So if you renew in December of 2022 for example, then November 2024 would be when you should call so your discounts don't end and you are billed the regular price.
