Telus door to door rep offering lower price internet plan for 2 years, is it legit?

Last night a young lady claimed as Telus rep offering me lower price internet plan upgrading for 2 years, and she noted down my name and email and home phone, checked my driver license, said she will do a credit check, and will send me email and let me know if approved to proceed, is it legit? later she called me with number 888-519-0122, checked my address, she left a name as Diptika or something like that, so far I have received anything, and I feel it was scam now and I am not sure if that causing a identity theft, Please give some hint on it.

Thanks

Hi there, thanks for reaching out. We’ll send you a private message so we can securely access your account and get this sorted.

  • Look at your credit report asap and for next little while. And see who is doing credit checks.

You have given out enough information to make an online loan application, or worse someone will get Telus services and you get the bill.

BTW, the internet says that number is a scam.
