Telus Boost Wi-Fi 7 paired with Boost 6E Lite
I recently upgraded to Telus 1.5 Gig internet along with the Telus Boost Wi-Fi 7, paired with 2 Boost 6E Lite units.
The technician told me there is currently no Boost Wi-Fi 7 Lite. Is that correct?
Also, am I right in understanding that I only get Wi-Fi 7 coverage near the main Boost Wi-Fi 7 unit, while the areas covered by the two Boost 6E Lite units are limited to Wi-Fi 6E?
I am trying to understand the setup for future device upgrades.

Hi BeaglebcTelus - Yes the information is correct! There is no current boost wifi 7 lite and coverage remains limited to the wifi 6E. As for future set ups, If you upgrade to Wi-Fi 7 devices down the line (like newer smartphones, laptops, or consoles), they will remain fully backward-compatible. They will seamlessly switch to Wi-Fi 6E when you move closer to the Lite units and scale back up to Wi-Fi 7 speeds when you walk back toward the main hub. Your 1.5 Gig fiber bandwidth will still be heavily utilized across the whole house, but you will only hit the absolute maximum wireless efficiency while sitting near the main base.
