SOUND
I am watching a show, whether live TV, recorded or streaming. The sound volume goes up and down during the show. At times (TV sound 1-100) it will be just right at 10, other times it is 50. This is ...

14 days agoThanks for the detail; you'd mentioned earlier that you have a Sony and a LG, so I didn't feel the need to re-ask đ. The fact you see it on different TVs from different manufacturers from different years running different operating systems (and so Rocky sees it to) indicates it's something on our end or the broadcasters end. You can ask google assistant what volume you're set to (i think my exact prompt was "what's my volume set to?").

KHRâ I don't mean to jump the gun, but it does seem that I have not had a volume issue last night. Will continue to monitor. Do let us know if the techs are looking for feedback.

I think the max volume level has resolved the sound level shifts!
I first set the LG settop box to max volume while leaving my Sony settop box to it's original value (which was 53%). The LG settop box sound level shifts was resolved and the Sony settop box still had some sound level shifts (we use this TV less often). I have since set the Sony settop box to max and it too appears to be fixed now.
Now what I'm not sure about: since setting the settop box volume to max, voice sync appears to be resolved as well. We've gone many days with everything staying in sync. I'm not sure if the volume change fixed this or if TELUS did something behind the scenes.
