If Wi-Fi is sufficient you could just enable the guest network. As stated by Telus: "A guest network is a secondary network that provides secure Internet access for your guests. This network can have a different password from your main network. Devices connected to the guest network will be able to access the internet, but not other shared files, printers, network storage, etc."
You would need to login to your router which is usually at http://192.168.1.254/ and configure it there.

I understood that the Internet plan I was on gives me access to two IP addresses. Could I just plug a second router into the ONT and get a second IP address?

I'm not familiar with that configuration but it seems it should be possible.
