Poor quality

For clarification. Is good picture Prime bypassing the tuner and HDMI cable direct to the TV to deliver better picture.
Previously, changing the HDMI cable improved quality.
Prime was part of the Google page on my Sony remote. When I watch it I use the Sony remote not the new Android remote.
