First Time NSF Fee Waiver

I am writing because I am a new customer of Telus (activated and opened account in January). On March 4 I was having issues with my bank I resolved with them. On March 5 I realized my automatic payment had not gone through because of that and I paid it immediately on that date March 5 (still early). I now see a $50 NSF fee on my bill for this month and I am hoping I could have it waived as a new customer as I still paid the bill, it is the first one I've had and I was unaware that this was a policy as I wasn't told when activating the account.
