Our PVR has again stopped recording these scheduled series even though they are set up correctly. They are set up to record First run only and I have verified that even first run are not being recorded. Recently this happened and I deleted all scheduled recordings and then it started working again. Now, a couple of months later they have stopped recording again. I have re-booted / re-set many times. Unplug then wait for a long time and then plug back in. No change. Anyone have any ideas or knowledge of what might be going on?61Views0likes1CommentNew 2026 Optik TV Box woes
First take on our new Telus Optic TV box. We received our new boxes last week to replace the current 4 that we have. We were told by a friendly tech services rep in the Philippines that everything would be the same or better and that we would still have our recorded programs and I assumed scheduled settings. No such luck. Not only have we lost recordings, but we need to reschedule programs for recording. Accessing the recordings now involves one extra step. Furthermore, there are no menu options for Play, Save, Delete, Series record info, Cancel series, Change settings, series priority, and Delete recordings. The screen is often cluttered with windows of other offerings and options; particularly when the TV is first turned on. Finally figured out to hit the back button to clear the detritus. The Guide no longer shows live video previews of the channels; just a still of the show or channel. The pause, skip, and fast forward modes are quirky. Am I a happy camper? Far from it. Anyone having issues with profiles not holding when selected on TELUSTV-21T Android Optik TV+ I have a Main profile and one additional. When I turn off box or it goes to sleep and was last viewing on Main it defaults to the second profile when reactivated. It used to hold the last viewed profile. I received an email saying that I qualified to update my Telus digital box. I thought oh great filled out the form and hit send me new boxes with the warning the old boxes will stop working two weeks from shipping date. They arrived quickly next day by Purolator. I hooked up one of the boxes and started browsing and quickly noticed changes that I am not fond of. No channel preview in the guide just a picture, so you can't see if you are switching in to a commercial Channel information in the guide used to show actors and year show/ movie was made/aired. Now it just shows a brief description. Search used to be able to search live TV and demand for easy series record. Now it just shows on demand. Record now only stores for 90 days. None of my recorded stuff switched over (which I did see that it said it might not but I figured I would cross my fingers and hold my breath) I also had Christmas movies saved for years for easy holiday watching. I'm reporting a persistent video quality issue with the TELUS TV+ app (com.telus.stbtvclient version 1.26.4.200) on both my Fire TV device and TELUS TV-24S boxes. For the past month, live TV and recorded shows start with good video quality for about 3 seconds, then become heavily pixelated and stays that way. On April 15, 2026, we called TELUS customer support and completed all recommended troubleshooting steps, including: Video quality set to Automatic (also tried Performance mode) Adjusted resolution settings on both Fire TV and TELUS TV-24S boxes Connected boxes directly with Ethernet cable and verified connection Rebooted modem, Wi-Fi boxes, and all TV devices Cleared app data and cache Uninstalled and reinstalled the TELUS TV+ app Power cycled all devices and checked signal quality Customer service concluded this appeared to be an app issue on the box. Note that the TELUS TV+ app is the ONLY app experiencing pixelation. All other apps (including TSN streaming services) on the same devices play normally with perfect video quality. It's a shame that I can only bridge one port or the entire NAH. I've been advised that if the NAH is fully bridged then my legacy PVR/STB will no longer work. Has anyone managed to get the PVR/STB with a fully bridged NAH? If so, what are the details of your setup to get this working? I remember back when I got my PVR/STB many years ago, everything felt snappy. Over time, things seem to slow down. There's lag here and there now with the UI. Anyone else here notice the same thing? Anyone else experiencing pixelating feed during original TV broadcasts and pixelated playback on recordings including audio studder. It's happening with more regularity and in some cases longer duration of late during consecutive mins of a broadcasts and recordings. Been reading all the complaints re the size of the CCs...my problem is I can't figure out how to access them at all. When I use the voice button, it comes up saying that the CCs aren't on this app...what 'app' are they on?
