Lagging channel changing +... on Optik TV
Anyone else experiencing a 7+ second lag when changing channels, switching between apps and other such functions. It's also accompanied by a blank screen with a green rotating circle in the bottom right corner. Appears to have started and become a regular pain over last few weeks.
Access APPLE TV with Optik TV account
Hello A few days ago I signed up for a new plan including Apple TV as a streaming service on Optik TV. How do I activate and use this service? They sent me an activation link by email that goes straight to MyTelus page. Unable to click AppleTV under list of services and despite the FAQ saying I can activate through >services>subscriptions I cant because this tab or section does not exist. All the FAQ and guides on Telus website are outdated or simply does not apply to their current UI/website. I tried on phone browser,phone app, and PC browser incognito. all the same. FB Telus message system told me generic clear my browser or log into AppleTV with my associated account(how would that work if my Apple tv account isn't even linked or cant be linked to telus?). Gave me absolute generic response as if they have never even looked at it and just pulled something out as a reply. of course the 1-888 support number is automated and confused thinking im trying to activate a telus service/hardware and finally redirects me to their closed office to call tomorrow(its 0900 in AB?). I just spent last hour on phone with Tech Support > Customer Solutions > back to Tech Support who then put me on hold and hung up. They tried to call back but sent VM because as I've know through the years they can't seem to get understand or figure out Call Control(A service that Telus happily provides) so it's safe to say he won't get in touch with me because I'll have to call Telus to disable call control within 2 minutes just so he can connect to me instead of him pressing the proper digit asked for Call Control. How do I use my Apple TV?
Video Playback Speed
Dear TELUS Product & Customer Experience Team, I am writing to formally request the addition of adjustable playback speed (e.g., 1.25×, 1.5×, 2×) for TELUS On Demand content and recorded programming on the TELUS TV+ Android TV platform. Playback speed control is now a standard feature across most modern streaming platforms and digital media applications. Many customers, including myself, have become accustomed to watching content at increased speeds for reasons including time efficiency, focus optimization, and accessibility. For individuals with ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions, the ability to adjust playback speed is not simply a convenience — it meaningfully improves engagement and comprehension. Currently, TELUS TV+ does not offer this capability, which creates an inconsistent experience compared to other digital platforms. I believe introducing playback speed control would: • Improve accessibility and inclusivity • Modernize the TELUS TV+ platform • Increase customer satisfaction and retention • Align TELUS with evolving industry standards This feature does not alter content ownership or licensing; it simply provides user-side playback flexibility that is already widely implemented elsewhere. I strongly encourage TELUS to consider adding playback speed options within the player interface for On Demand and recorded content. Thank you for your consideration. Mount for Telus 24S box (3D print)
I got a Telus TV Digital Box the other day and decided I wanted to mount it behind my TV. So I created and printed a mount for it based on some other designs. It's a nice snug fit with a few variations. unable to watch any of the cbc channels on telus tv plus?
i'm trying to watch the olympics on my telus tv plus on the computer.. every single cbc channel shows a home icon with a slash on it.. and when i click on it it'll say this channel can only be viewed on telus home internet??? i'm sitting at home connected to the telus home internet on my computer?? so what am i missing.. the channel works on my tv box but doesn't work on any of my device using the telus tv appCannot Delete a Channel?
I see, checking the Forum, that this issue has occurred before. I am trying to remove a channel from my account (I'll likely be adding another to replace it). When I navigate to the online section of this bizarre site I get the following message below. (I have been trying for 2 days from my phone and my desktop!) The solution given in the past was to contact customer support. Obviously the person that wrote this "Solution" has NEVER TRIED CONTACTING CUSTOMER SUPPORT! Set about 200 years after the 'end of the world' bombs dropped, the denizens of a series of luxury fallout shelters underground are forced to return topside into a world full of radiation, mutated creatures, raiders, and countless other dangers. This series centers around Lucy MacLean, a citizen of Vault 33 as she returns to the surface chasing after her father, who has a lot of things to answer for after the nuclear decimation of the planet. She partners unwittingly with Cooper Howard, a former actor who has since mutated into a ghoul, making his way as a gunslinger and bounty hunter. While fans of the video games will undoubtedly love the series, there's a lot to love for the uninitiated. Starting & closing the Telus TV app on Firestick
Hi, If you don't specifically exit from the Telus TV app from the Settings menu, (you turn off the Firestick or it goes to sleep) then the next time the Telus TV app is launched (next day) it doesn't properly load by going to the "Who is watching" screen, it loads to where it was, freezes for a while, jumps to the "Who is watching" screen and then suddenly exits the app completely. Only then can you start the app properly anew. Is there a way to fix this? It is quite annoying, since exiting from apps on firetv is usually done by the back button, but that doesn't work on Telus TV app (unless they added an exit from app popup like the Silk Browser app I suppose). This daily cycle wastes a lot of time and seems like it could be improved.
