Store opened Business Personal Account Regular
HI Telus Forums, I wanted to post in case others have had this issue. I opened a "business account" at a telus store the other day where I provided my company's BN and incorporation date. I asked the rep whether the credit check goes to the business credit, and not my personal credit - he said yes. I was having a ton of trouble with the caller display not showing the company name, and added the $3/month service for adding out-bound call display. Business accounts don't come with this by default. After adding it - the name was still not displaying on out-bound calls. Turns out the rep in the store opened a "business personal" account - which is a business account of sorts - only the credit check goes on my personal credit - not the business credit account. Unfortunately the rep on the phone could not change the account from "business personal" to "business regular" for me. She advised going back to the store that opened the account for me. Which is just frustrating...644Views0likes1CommentRe: FTTH in Ontario
Ah, a quick google and I found that ruling! - It strangely doesn't mention Rogers has to wholesale: (https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2024/2024-180.htm) No later than 13 February 2025, Canada’s largest telephone companies – Bell Canada, Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), and TELUS Communications Inc. (TELUS) – must provide competitors with workable wholesale access to their fibre networks. First, any new fibre deployed by Bell Canada, SaskTel, and TELUS after today’s date will not be eligible for wholesale access until 13 August 2029. The document seems to refer to Rogers as a cable company rather than an ISP. Which is interesting. Based on reading that - we just got Bell's FTTH now. which means Telus would not be able to provide service on that line until August 2029 it seems.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Wireless Home Phone ZTE723CA signal issue
Hi all, If anyone has similar issues - what I've done is ordered a new service line which comes with the exact same ZTE WF723. Same price @ $10/month. This new line one works using VoLTE, and doesn't go orange and drop to 3G on calls. To test, I swapped the SIM's between the two ZTE WF723's - and voilà - the new SIM is properly provisioned for VoLTE and works using the LTE network on both ZTE723 devices. Fancy that? I had reached out to TELUS Support and none of them seemed to know what was going on and kept suggesting I get something called the "Wisha" which I could not find on their website. I'm porting the number out of the original device to another carrier, and then I'll port back in onto the new line I just took out to keep my number. Bit of a workaround - but if it works for what I wanted - hey it works.2.5KViews0likes0CommentsWireless Home Phone ZTE723CA signal issue
Hi there forums, I have a Telus Wireless Home Phone using the ZTE723CA model device. While it works alright - I noticed that it no longer shows a green bar for the service signal, but an orange one when making a call - and calls are not as clear as they once were. the user-guide for the unit shows that this means it's not on the LTE network: Does this device support VoLTE for clearer calls? From memory it used to show a green service signal at all times for me.Solved2.8KViews0likes3Comments
