Re: Only some websites reachable
Try changing your Wi-Fi network password. It's a pain in the ass to update all your devices but this is the only solution that works if you have partial Internet after power outages. The WiFi password gets corrupted somehow when you have a power outage. This is why on hardwire all your websites work but on wifi it only works for some. It's an issue with this Arcadyan modem but Telus refuses to admit it's an issue. I have a bit more time left on my contract and then I'm leaving.1.1KViews0likes1CommentRe: **Internet Connectivity Mystery After Power Outages - Seeking Insights**
Sadly no. As of this morning, I am still with partial internet service. Wifi devices cannot function in full, none of my smart cameras are operating. I also have no Optik TV service. Ive rebooted several times now. im waiting on a call back from your technical support team but this is getting ridiculous.2.5KViews0likes6CommentsRe: **Internet Connectivity Mystery After Power Outages - Seeking Insights**
Well, here we go again. One of my Optik TV wireless boxes disconnected and a short while later the modem went red and restarted. Now im back to the same frustrations of my devices not connecting properly. None of my Optik TV boxes are connecting and the devices that do connect to the Wifi only have access to intermittent websites. By the time I get on the phone with a technician and spending several hours of being told to factory reset and plug and unplug my devices - it will resolve after a long period of downtime. I used to have such good service but its been going downhill the last several years.2.5KViews0likes8CommentsRe: **Internet Connectivity Mystery After Power Outages - Seeking Insights**
Its happened again to me tonight. The modem went red all of a sudden. It eventually turned back green. Hardwire devices are working fine. All wifi based devices cant connect to all of the above mentioned sites and more yet other websites are accessible. All my OptikTV boxes are once again offline along with my smart devices. This is extemely frustrating.8.3KViews0likes3CommentsRe: **Internet Connectivity Mystery After Power Outages - Seeking Insights**
Posting here to say I have the exact same issue as you. Im in Newton. Hardwired PC has no issues with connecting to websites. All my smarthome devices are offline and cannot connect. Boosters are not linking up either. Of my phones that do connect, not all websites can be loaded. Telus.com, walmart.com, resetera.com, and redflagdeals.com to name a few examples are all offline. I can connect to cnn.com and a few other select sites. My wireless devices are connected to Wifi5 and show strong up and down links. This has been ongoing for months now. I cant figure it out and Telus solution is to charge me $150 for a tech to visit. Ive had my modem replaced from a T3200 to a Wifi hub and its the same problem.9.3KViews0likes4CommentsInternet works only partially. Optik TV boxes offline
Have the strangest issue I've been experiencing for about a month now. Have had my modem swapped to the Telus Wifi Hub w/ Nokia Fiber box and the problem still exists. My Internet only decides to work on certain sites on Wifi. Sites like CNN load fine but speed test gives connection errors across multiple devices. My smart tv connected via WiFi loads YouTube and can play video but all my smart cameras and light switches are offline. All my OptikTV wireless boxes don't work either. Everything works when hardwired. I have factory reset the modem a few times now and done multiple reboots. Any help would be appreciated. Called Tech Support and they said it will cost me $150 to have a tech come out if they can't replicate the issue. My contract is up in 2 days and I'm tired of this back and forth with Telus.1.3KViews0likes1Comment
