We just locked into a contract with Telus home security and installed a doorbell camera
it was hardwired in; however we don’t have a doorbell chime since the prior doorbell was connected to the phone system
does anyone know if we can use Amazon Alexa to create a chime once doorbell is press or alternatives ?

Yes, you can use Amazon Alexa to create a chime when your doorbell camera is pressed. Here's how you can set it up:
Connect the Doorbell Camera to Alexa: Ensure your doorbell camera is compatible with Alexa and linked to your Alexa app. You might need to enable the specific skill for your doorbell camera in the Alexa app.
Create a Routine in the Alexa App:
Alternatively, you could look into standalone smart chime devices that can be connected to your doorbell camera, if compatible. These can be placed anywhere in your home to notify you when someone presses the doorbell.

This sounded interesting so I thought I'd try it. "Doorbell Camera" does not shop does not appear in the Alexa app. I actually have the devices named "Front Doorbell" in the Telus SmartHome app, I don't see that as an option in Alexa, either. I also do not see my door sensors.
My smart thermostat, door lock and the panel show up properly. I can use Alexa voice commands, to change the temperature, lock and unlock the door, and to arm my panel - so I know the link between Telus and Alexa is working.
How do I get the video door bell so show up in the Alexa app?
I'd also love to be able to use my door sensors as triggers. For example, a routine that turns on the smart light at the door whenever it's opened would be cool.
