yesterday
I initially signed up for Telus security in 2020 when I moved into my new house. After the three-year term was up, I found that I didn’t use it and I tried to cancel it. I was not happy that the price had gone up so the Telus representative that I was speaking to said that he could adjust the price down for me to just a couple dollars more than I was paying. I still didn’t want it, but he did talk me into keeping it. After about five months, the price went up again. When I called and asked about it, they said I my option was to cancel my contract. To my surprise, I was tied into a five-year contract for my Telus security. I never agreed to a five-year contract ever. How do I go about cancelling this now. I have had the same problem trying to speak to a real person and being put on hold for hours. I finally got to speak to a person and she said she had to transfer me to another department. That the security was a separate line. So I was transferred and I gave up holding after an hour and a half. I would like somebody from Telus to call me and explain how this works. I know that I would never sign up for a five-year contract for anything. Let alone a security system that I didn’t want.
