Telus tv app not working on telus wifi

I have a telus tv account. It Works fine at my house. I go to my parents house and while on their wifi, which is telus wifi too, it says log in failed. I turn off my wifi and log into my app and then it works fine..what is going on with their wifi? Why can't I use my telus tv app while on their wifi?
