All the sudden our TV box won't fully start up. If I unplug and replug it the Telus logo flashes on screen, followed by the android tv loading screen then video just cuts out. The TV says no signal to input. On the box the light is solid white, it doesn't respond to any remote commands. Unplugging and replugging always ends up like this. I tried factory reset, different HDMI, different power outlets, restarting the modem, booting it without the Ethernet plugged in. Nothing seems to work.
Oddly if I swap a different tv+ box from a working tv to this location, same thing, won't boot. So the box is somehow unhappy with this setup all the sudden but I have no idea why. Any suggestions?

This happened to me as well. All 3 of my boxes around the 1 year mark. I found out it was the power cord that failed for some reason. When I used the power cord from a working box on the box that was doing what you describe, it worked right away. Telus can't replace just the power cord though, so all 3 times they had to ship me new boxes.

I had a similar thing happen with mine recently. It did come back eventually after simply waiting after a power reset. Possibly it's doing a system update?

Thank you! That's definitely it. Switching the power cable from the other box has gotten this one working. So frustrating but I'll coordinate with Telus to get a replacement. You've saved my sanity.

I reported the power supply problem about a month ago after receiving my third box. I plugged in #3 using #2 power cord and it would not fire up. So I replaced power cable with #3 cable and #3 box fired right up. On a hunch I swapped out #3 with #2 box using #3 power supply and voila, #2 also worked.
To date Telus support is still investigating. Now there are four of us that have found the solution, which IMO is also the reason many other problems are occurring because power supply is not consistant.
