On demand viewed episodes

With the continued challenges with obtaining properly functioning recording functions, On Demand viewing is a necessary fallback to catch up. However, it doesn't show when an episode has been viewed.
I am pretty sure that once upon a time it used to show which ones were viewed.
Is that a feature that will be coming back or can be enabled?

Hi @RobG3987

While the individual episode isn't marked as 'watched', the queue puts the next available episode in On Demand or in Resume on Home Screen so you don't have to remember what you watched. It may seem inconsequential, but adding a tag to potentially hundreds of watched episodes adds time to API calls and could bog down loading and affect app performance. How it works in practice:

1. you watch Season 1 Episode 1 through to the end - S1E2 should show up in 'Resume' from the beginning of the episode and if you search for the program or navigate to it, button should say 'Play S1E2 On Demand'.

2. you watch Season 1 Episode 2 halfway to completion - it should show up in 'Resume' on your Home Screen at the point you left off with how much time is left. It will also show as 'Resume S1E2 On Demand' if you search for the program or navigate to it from the On Demand menu.

I've included screenshots from the iOS app, but the implementation across other devices/apps is the same.

I'll advise the dev team. They are bookmarked in 'resume' on the Home Screen for what it's worth, so if you've watched S01E01, that little 'Resume' section should show S01E02, etc.

Yes, true. Until it's fully watched. Once you reach the end, you can't resume since there isn't any time left on the episode to continue. It should switch to marking the episode as "watched" or "viewed", etc. just something to mark it as completed.
I was pretty sure it used to do that before,, but I could be mistaken and mixing it up with something else.
