At the moment there is no network support on mobile devices for blocking calls. Having said that though, there are plenty of blacklisting / call blocking apps out there, depending on your phone model, that would do the trick. You can also call Telus and have them change your number free of charge in a nuisance scenario. As a last resort you, and in the case of serious harrasment/abuse you could also file a police report with the local authorities and they would reach out to our coprorate security channels.

Hi RobertC, depending on the mobile phone that you have, you can either block it from your calling feature. If you have an Android device, search for mr.number, it's a free app and it's working perfectly. You can also do a Google search using your type of phone to see what other users are doing.

I would have assigned that nuisance number a custom ringtone of deadair and then a volume of zero to avoid the disturbance.

Hi-RoberC: Well could be your ex-girlfriend a telemarketer or a collection agency- hehee!. You should add more details
about the matter. Usually telemarketers' calls get, reduced by add Ur Ph# to the "No call list" If is a woman, confront her to stop calling- If a collection agency, better arrange a pymt method. Don't you think so
If you own an iphone I heard its.Store exclude (Calls' blocker Apps) but if your have an Android, there's
many Calls' blocker apps on <GooglePlay.Store> Like (Call Blocker- Calls blacklist- Mr. Number,.etc). It helps stop, unwanted callers by send the call to VMail or hand up, before connect. Mayority let calls +texts go through. Best install a paid.one, like Kaspersky, Bitdefender or McAfee N' add unwanted Ph#s to 'Black.List'. <ReadMe soon> "v9"

I got a new cell phone two days ago to replace my regular overpriced landline because all I ever got were calls from people wanting money and duct cleaning, etc., etc. and since then the only calls I've been getting (six or more a day) are from 1-888-312-5053 which is someone claiming to be from Bell. The only way I can contact Bell is by phone and then spend hours on hold, but how can I get rid of this caller? It's just a regular Alcaltel A392 cell phone and I can't see any way of blocking this $#%%.

There appears no way to either block or silence specific numbers using this phone.

If the call is truly from Bell, next time they call, wait long enough to speak to an operator and confirm it is indeed Bell, and demand they remove you from the list. They are obligated to do so. Is it is possible you got a number previously held by a Bell customer behind in their payments, or similar?

Because when phone numbers are expired, they are put into a pool which all the telco's can draw from.
Something like winning the lotto (not!)
Answer and explain. They should stop calling.
