On November 29, 2024 (Black Friday) I called into the telus to see what offers they had on that day for me to take advantage of as well establish a 5th line.
The person I spoke with on the phone proposed a deal for me that would be $40 a month per line ($45-$5 for preauthorized payment) for each of the previously existing lines. This would include 120 gigs of data and nationwide calling and texting, VM, etc. I had him give me the exact totals of what my bill would cost me on the phone call, it was $160 + taxes and what not. I agreed to this price and contract on the phone. I was also offered 4 iPhone 15s at 8$ a month on a BIB plan, I agreed to these terms as well on that phone call. He said that he was having trouble getting the data into the system due to the volume of calls (the call was roughly 3 hours long due to technical issues on telus’ side) so he said he would call me back on the next Tuesday to confirm the change to the proper plans (he expected Cyber Monday to be busy as well). I agree to these terms and expected the call back. It never came.
When my bill arrived, the plans were all wrong. They plans do not even match one another and have different (higher) rates and are all different.
I have called into Telus 3 times since to find a solution. Each time I received a promise that they would look into it and provide me with a solution and call me back. I have not yet received any calls back. I have not been rude to the staff although it is getting extremely frustrating
The preexisting 4 lines have still not been rectified and need to be fixed. I am not looking for anything other than what I have been offered and I accepted. A change behind the scenes on the Telus side should not negatively impact me. The only “solution” that I have been offered is a more expensive plan with fewer resources. I have also been informed that if I do not accept their terms that I would be braking the contract and subject to the costs of that. Simply put, I would never have changed my plan in the first place if I had not received the plan I agreed to.
I have request the recordings from Telus and await them.
