Wow, this must be god awful for those that live in border towns. No wonder my inlaws don't have cell phones. Don't blame them!
It's not that big a deal. One needs to change two settings on the phone, and roaming charges are prevented. Of course you would have to change those settings if you DO want to roam internationally.
