How do you stop email alerts when someone is roaming?

I have a Canada/US/Mexico plan since I live in Canada but work in the US.

Is there anyway to stop email notifications whenever I am roaming in the US? Obviously, I know when I'm roaming and I don't care since it's included in my plan, I don't need to receive emails every day when I'm going to work. I don't want to disable all email communications either.
