Last December 20, 2024 i got a called from a Telus agent, at that time I was with rogers for my mobility plans. My Home security was with telus but my internet and cable was with eastlink.ca, the agent was so pushy and offered me a deal to switch from rogers to telus and my 4 mobility lines will go down to $30/month after discounts and I would pay only $120/monthly+tax and a cable with 1gig unli internet for $130/monthly+tax. They told me from the $85/mobility line offer it will go down to $30/month because I will get a lot of discounts due to family, authorized payment and other telus services like my Home security. They explained to me the 1st month bill will be higher and the 2nd month bill i will expect the $120/monthly+tax bill.
Fast forward January 31,2025, I checked my bill at my telus app and voila, I got bill almost twice than I expected to pay, it came up to $254.13.
I already paid extra than my regular mobility monthly payments for January because there was a lot of partial charges in Telus and at the same time I still had to pay my regular rogers bill for December which came at the January bill.
I feel so disheartened and really upset now because it's like I changed my service provider with a deal promised to me that I'll save more than I'm paying for rogers and now it ended up for me paying more.
Now I wish I didn't changed my service provider and stick to my regular monthly budget. Now I'm overpaying for 2 months already because Telus didn't keep there promise.
Anybody out there, don't move to Telus. They offer bogus deals and they lie just for people to move to them.
