Before I ask the question, let me explain myself and what situation I am in.
My wife and I are under the same account, the same data plan, but different phone numbers. Because my contract doesn't end for a while, I don't want to pay it off to upgrade to a new device. However, my wife's contract is almost up, but she doesn't want a new phone.
Is it possible to upgrade her phone, as well as keep her old one, but just swap sims? That way I would have the new phone with my number, and she would keep herald phone with the same number, but my new phone would be under her name. Does Telus have anything against this? Would it still work?
TIA,
Josh

Absolutely! Upgrading the phone on her line for your use though will lock her into another 2 year contract. With the 6 lines I currently have with Telus, we all tend to upgrade when we want something as the lot of us all have different tastes in phones. If you get the upgrade in-store, just make sure they don't terminate her SIM for a new one. If you tell them you are going to use it and not her, then that shouldn't be an issue at all.
