Is the Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+ a good phone?

I've been thinking of getting a new phone and am on a bit of a budget. The Alcatel Idol X+ caught my eye when I was in the Telus store. Seems like a decent phone. Anyone here have one? Is it worth getting for a basic smartphone?

@mbp: The Alcatel OneTouch Idol X. I just viewed in the:<www.virginmobile.ca> is very attractive Phone dwo. In my opinion users, don't need to buy expensive-fancy phones a long as it has the basic, fuctions that's good enough. It cost only $249 in <Virgin-mobile> is available in Koodo & Telus as well. This Phone is popular in other countries too.

It comes with Android 4.2.2-Jelly Bean: 13 MP Camera: 1.5 GHZ Quad core CPU: SIM card cost $4.99 - It looks like a good deal-go for it..Log In this website for more info: http://www.virginmobile.ca/en/phones/phone-details.html? model=alca.. keep posting any question. Bye "v9"

Currently I've problems to open links, when I previewed. But try left-click first if not open. Right/click +hit open.

The future is unknown?

Thank you for the reply. I was hoping to hear from someone who has the phone. Viewing it on a website is one thing. Using it on a daily basis is completely different.

I am curious why you're advertising Virgin Mobile here though. Is that normal? Virgin Mobile also doesn't have the model I was looking at. Virgin has the older model of this phone, the Idol X. Not the X+ Telus has.

The phone I was looking at in the Telus store is newer, better processor and had Android 4.4 on it. Was only 3G but that's fine. In the Telus store they also have it for $250 though the website says $350.

Anyone own this phone? Had any issues?

Thanks for posting back @mbp: Regarding to 1st.question). Why do I'm advertising Virgin here-The answer is No, I'm not in that business. What happen is when I made the search the first, website displayed it was <Virgin.ca> I should scroll down, further 'till Telus.com. 2) That website didn't show up the model, that you look for, so sorry about. It missed the+ : X+

I didn't pay too much attention at the detail, that you wanted someone, who had that phone tell you, about its performance, since is a new model few users have it in CA. But no worries someone, who has it will describe, how it works soon. Stay tuned! "v9"
