Iphone 3GS sim card into Samsung Galaxy s3

Just Moved In
I've been Googling for more than an hour and have not been able to get a specific answer. Hopefully someone can help me here.

I still use my old Iphone 3GS from Telus. I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 locked to Telus. I also have a sim card cutter. Does anybody know if I cut my iphone 3 sim card to micro size and put it into my new S3 will everything be cool?

Hey Bonzoandbrian,

As NFtoBC suggested, the only guaranteed way is to purchase a sim card that was designed to work with that specific device. Having said that, technically it should still work, but if anything goes wrong or it doesn't it won't be supported or "fixable" by TELUS and you would need to purchase/activate a new sim card. Spend $10 on a new SIM and save yourself the grief of mis-cutting the card and having to buy a new one anyway.

Plan is paid for by private employer so I don't have access to account details so I doubt I can get a new sim from Telus. Have been using iPhone 3G for years without any upgrades from boss. Although I have had to buy new iPhone 3G's locked to Telus on my own dime. Mis-cutting is of course a possibility but I just want to know if the S3 would work if it was cut properly.
