On many VM systems you can simply press the choices before listening to the prompt. I get insufficient VM to have confirmed this on my cellular phone, but it works on our office system. Although not a complete solution, it would speed your progress through the prompts.

On an iPhone you can have the option of visual voice mail, which is delivered straight to your phone.

Having no prompts is likely not available, as there are different paths to follow, and few of us can find the way without the prompts.

You just want it to autoplay the voicemail when you first go in?

  • Press 4 for Options
  • Press 2 for Administrative Options.
  • Press 4 to toggle Auto Play on/off

v9, thank you for your response and the time to reply. What I would like to be able to do is by-pass or turn off the Telus robotic intro when calling for messages. I want the choice of jumping straight into my messages.

NFtoBC, thank you for your splay.  Yes, pressing the choice before listening to the prompt does work and is what i have been doing.  Several years ago, on y old flip top (which i miss having) i was able to do away with the prompt.  Appears that is no longer available.
Cheers

Here is a link to a Telus document for home phones. It seems to parallel the information shared by @Nighthawk: http://telus.com/content/help/common/pdf/tvm_userguide.pdf

That Voicemail user guide PDF is actually for landlines. There are a few similarities but many differences.

Re: How to turn/off the initial message from Telus-VM. Hi-@Brownkittenstew How's going I'm glad that you solved the issue N' thanks for your recognition. In addition to NfToBC,.You can skip the initial message. But password it has to be entered n' after that-hit(1) it take user to listen msges. I've tried to hit(1) right after password & tellMe, you've press the incorrect key. So I listen the operator if I've messages tap(1) listen+deleted with(7) and press(9) to save is needless-AutoVM save it for 3days.

I'll post some Freeware Voicemail Apps. I'm not trying to pro-this apps, just  to help [iOS-Android-users]

1)Your Mail (Free) iOS-Android: 2)HulloMail (Free) iOS-Android: 3)MagikMail (Free) iOS-Android:

4)Google Voice (Free) iOS-Android: 5)Visual Voicemail (Free) Android.
