I want to unlock my TELUS phone but I wanted feedback. Did you unlock your phone at TELUS or somewhere else? Also, what did you think of the unlock service? Were they good?

If you want to unlock your phone the safe way, have Telus do it. If you want to get it unlocked by some third party scam that will likely charge you more, potentially brick your phone or possibly lead to problems? It's your choice. Some of the third party unlocks only stick until a software update comes in for the phone also. Then you're stuck.

I had my phones unlocked at Telus. The $35 is a bargain compared to the competition who wants to overcharge you $50. It's so easy with Telus as it's done in minutes.
I have used service depots in the past for unlocking my Blackberries when Telus was unable, but overheard Apple was notorious for relocking phones when you do a sync.
@Smm. What is the make and model of your phone?

Telus is superior by a huge margin.
I unlocked my useless iPhone 4s as I want to be able to sell it to anyone with a use for those toys.
Easy, simple and after I was quoted $125 to $199 to have it done elsewhere and with no guarantee that it would continue to work indefinitely, the $35 charge is easily accepted.
