It'll likely just come down to choosing a plan. See Telus' pre-paid options. She may need a new SIM card as well.
Depending on the number of minutes she'll need, or if she needs data, a phone locked to Telus will work with Koodo also which has a few better options though they are not the pre-paid variety.
