I got an email from an unethical hacker stating that he had hacked my email and had given me a virus.  I had been working with an ethical hacker to get my instagram account and now we can't move forward because of this virus.  Can telus help with this issue?

Take your computer to a local computer repair shop so they can do the appropriate removal etc

Sounds like you were part of a phishing scheme…. DO not pay any money, gift cards etc…

You should have two factor authentication (2FA)  on your accounts for added security.

Thanks.  I have a mac.  This was actually a vendetta by the unethical hacker because I appealed to my bank to get all the funds that I had paid him back.  I will definitely use 2FA.
