I Posted this yesterday in the PikTV sub, but maybe this is more of a general internet / router problem.
So I've been having a weird problem with PikTv.
I'm connected on copper with a T3200m router and using the Pik app on the Shield box.
I can watch any other app on the box without any problems however when I use the Pik app it seems to randomly disconnect from the internet. The Router is not the issue as the WiFi is still broadcasting and everything tells me I have a good connection, it's just that there is no internet.
I have spoken with support, switched out the router and done everything apart from having a technician out.
This would happen a few times each day,(1-6), with the internet being down for about 15 minutes. The intervals of the outage seemed to be random but the duration was always the same.
I didn't think that the Pik app could be disconnecting me from the internet but I uninstalled and then reinstalled and now it seems to be okay and I haven't been disconnected in the last three days.
My question, Is it possible for the app to disconnect me like this or is this just a coincidence? Was there an update to the app recently and maybe that was somehow corrupted?
Anyone else experience anything like this?
Here's what I think is the relevant log from the router,
