Web access to voice mail not working

BigBen121

Has something happened to Telus web access to voicemail. When I click on the url for voice mail access it takes me to a new log on screen but when I logon nothing happens, I get an error message saying the web page cannnot be opened. So now I cannot get my voicemail - I am out of country and this is not working for me!

I just tried it and was able to access my voice mail.

The web page looks to have been recently updated as it's different to what I usually see. Possibly you were accessing it while Telus was making changes.

Nope, I am getting the site cannot be reached. The URL is still https://voicemail.telus.com. ?

Very weird, I can access the url on a pc and a Samsung phone that has not been used before but both on an iPad and iPhone I get page not found. I have cleared my caches but that is not making any difference

I find out by default the issue is that voicemail requires https: routing and this is not enable in safari without an extension, Telus possibly did not create the new site properly as it works on pc’s that force https but not on browsers on mobile devices

Works on my iPhone with both Safari and Edge. You must use https://voicemail.telus.com/ as the URL as Safari doesn't seem to redirect to https. Edge works if you just enter voicemail.telus.com

Strange I tried that and it did not work. I had to install HTTPS only to get it to work
Before with Edge or Safari would
Logon fine using https: but once logged on it would say “safari cannot open the page because network connection was lost”

You stated you are out of country. I'm wondering if there are some restrictions to your network access where you are? Possibly firewall or some other settings that are preventing you from connecting.

You shouldn't need any additional software to access HTTPS sites in either Safari or Edge.

Not sure what else to suggest aside from connecting to another network.

Thanks for your help it seems to be an anomaly but I got it to work using the https only app.
It’s not the network because I tried on a Samsung phone and there is no issue
Thanks

I’m having the same out of country problem. How do I use the https only app?

you have to buy it from the App Store and then add the extension to safari.

that being said with the recent iOS and iPadOS update , 17.3 it seems the problem is fixed
