I am looking at possibly getting the Telus Smart Hub for our cabin. I am wondering if anyone has tried this in an unheated setting. We winterize our cabin for the winter and the heat is turned off. Given that temps here can reach -40 the odd day I was wondering if the router can function at that temp. I have read that ambient temperature should be zero degrees and above. The only reason I would like to leave the internet on is for security purposes (to monitor camera's). Thanks

The Smart Hub is designed to operate within a specific temperature range, typically starting at 0°C and above. Exposing it to extreme cold, such as -40°C, may affect its performance and potentially damage the hardware over time.
If you need to leave the internet active for security purposes, we recommend placing the Smart Hub in an insulated area or adding a small heating solution to keep the temperature stable.

You are all good, -30 for weeks dipping to -40 in the wind for 2 winters now. Services seems slower when it is super cold but that could be in my head. Been very happy with the system.
