Telus Smart Hub Cold Weather

You are all good, -30 for weeks dipping to -40 in the wind for 2 winters now. Services seems slower when it is super cold but that could be in my head. Been very happy with the system.

Thanks for the info. Are you talking about the device outside that receives the signal or the router that would be inside. I am looking to turn heat off in the winter and leave router, that would be inside, running in a -30 environment at times.

- NXTIME11 months agoNeighbourOh I see, the antenna power supply is in a basement utility room so it is heated. We don’t actually use the Telus router, we run an older TP Link mesh system with one of the nodes in a shed for cameras. That particular node sees the extreme cold as the shed is not heated. It to seem to keep going despite an manufacturer’s OT range of 0C to 40C degrees. I know that doesn’t help any but all 8 of our cameras are not rated for that kind of cold but they run and have for years. Good luck.
