SDK for router T1200H

openwrt
Just Moved In

I am aware that the firmware is Linux-based, can you please release the SDK for it?

Unless I'm mistaken, the GPLv2 doesn't require a device manufacturer to release the toolchain or anything except the source for any GPLv2 components. They would be under no obligation to make it easy to run custom firmware on it.

Actiontec already provide GPL sources here: http://opensource.actiontec.com and the T1200 series is available from that page. The fact that the hardware is manufactured by another company wouldn't absolve Telus of the GPL licensing requirements, but since they're already available from actiontec I don't think Telus have to do anything unless they've made modifications.

Also, please release the complete toolchain and the tools that were used to build the custom firmware as well as kernel sources with patches to make it run on T1200H, this doesn't include binary drivers.

This information won't be released as the hardware is manufactured by another company.
