Issues with IP addresses not being assigned
I am having issues with IP addresses not being assigned when I have a switch plugged in at a specific outlet. The issue doesn't occur right away, the network will be fine for a day or two, sometimes ...
I have had this similar issue or problem.
I have few switches and a router connects to the fibre optic modem.
You want to make sure no redundant links or, paths or loopback of your network, ethernet or network cables connecting ports on your switches, router or fibre optic to cause a loopback.
you want to press the reboot button on your network access hun or fibre optic modem or press the reset button which will factory reset all your settings configured back to factory default settings.
On the t3200 modem , the only option is to press the reset button.
So far the only solution I've found is to hard reset the modem but the problem will come back within a week or two.
