IPv6 support

Does Telus support IPv6 or not?

Everything I see says it should. But I have never managed to get it work.

I just now sat on the phone with Telus support for a hour to just be told at the end "we don't support IPv6."

This is ridiculous.

Telus has supported IPv6 for years. It should work without you having to do anything. What is your setup? Your post doesn't provide any information.

I was having issues with my own router (Alta Route 10) so I just hooked up the the Telus provided T3200M to the fibre box and it still got no IPv6 address. This is how I had it connected when talking to tech support.

Again, it was Telus tech support that said Telus didn't support IPv6 which I know is not true, I just don't know what to do about it if tech support won't help.

I haven't had a T3200M for a long time, but it does support IPv6. Did you check the settings to be sure it's enabled? How are you testing to see if it's supported or not?

Yeah, IPv6 is enabled.

I checked for IPv6 addresses on the router and the devices connected. On the router IPv6 Wan Status was continually stuck as "Connecting..."

I have also tried connecting a PC directly to the fibre box and was also not able to get an IPv6 address there.

No matter what I do I can't get IPv6 to work. Multiple devices etc in multiple setups.

It seems to be a Telus issue, is it possible that IPv6 isn't enabled on my account?

Try doing a factory reset on the TR3200M and leaving it disconnected for 24 hours. Perhaps it's not getting a prefix because there is an outstanding lease. Telus will only allocate one prefix per MAC.
