Connecting my house to Telus Fibre

Ruralinternet
Just Moved In

I bought a home in Alfred, Ontario and internet here is scarce. The only thing available at my location is DSL or Bell Fibe that only goes up to 50mbs.

I called Telus and they said there is 1.5gbs available in Alfred but NOT available at my house. Now, hypothetically speaking, say someone was desperate to have high speed fibe connected to their house. How much would it cost to have a line installed from the Telus hub to my home? Ball park estimate?

Bell Fibe 50 is still DSL. If Bell hasn't run fibre there, I would be very surprised if any other provider has fibre there. Especially one based out of province like Telus. Providers have been forced by the CRTC into wholesaling agreements to share their fibre networks. So if there is Bell fibre internet, Telus should be able to offer service in an area using Bell's connection.
