Community Technology Issues/Outdated Phone Systems - Stewart, BC

TELUS PROCUREMENT, TELUS MANAGEMENT. Are you aware that you have been selling services to a number of Stewart, British Columbia residents with old lines, faulty lines, lines that don't work/function, but are still billing these customers monthly and not compensating them for using bad quality equipment? My parents are one of them. Most recently one of your Telus Techs, a really nice kind employee, came to Stewart, BC to fix not only my parents home phone line, but a number of other community members. Unable to fix the echo on the lines because of poor quality lines that haven't been changed in Stewart, BC in over twenty plus years. I strongly believe that selling a product or service to communities in rural areas, but using old systems/bad quality products, goes against the Telus brand and corporate/community identity. I have been visiting my family for the past two and a half years, there phone line, and a number of my parents friends phone lines have not been working. These rural BC folks are often far too kind and don't pick up their cellular phones and call you at Telus to ask for compensation on their phones. A number of your customers are seniors, not up to savvy on technology, emails, texting. My heart goes out to not only my parents whom have lost phone calls from family members. an 98 year old grandmother in Saskatchewan who calls, never gets through, to long distance family and friends, or for me, job opportunities that are trying to call me through my parents line. Together we are being further isolated, but gouged by your unethical services being delivered to Stewart, and I am certain other Northern BC communities. Currently you have Sienna Networks in the community of Stewart setting up fiber-optics, would this service include fiber-optic home phone services? I feel strongly Telus, and as one of your former long term customers, that you are misleading a number of your rural customers. Coming from 'big-city' life, where I am from, visiting my hometown, and being 'in-the-know' about your actual products and services, I find your service delivery to Stewart, BC a slap in the face to your customers. I can confirm a number of seniors who currently have faulty lines, including my parents as indicated. You bill my family monthly, you are unavailable when we try and call your customer service lines, and an extreme lack of empathy for your rural customers seems to be the narrative that Telus maintains with these small Northern BC communities. Telus it is time you pull up your socks, get your customer retention team connected to Stewart, BC, provide solutions, fix the lines, offer compensation, deliver timely communications plans on the future of rolling over your phone lines to Sienna Networks, where they can offer better products and services as your third-party vendor. Please do something about this, you have upset a number of your customers in this community, my parents being a couple of them. You can contact <names removed by Mod. per our doxxing policy> and if you are lucky, you might get me on the line, <name removed by Mod.>, where I would be happy to lay the law out about how you ought to compensate this community for your faults, for your poor services being provided. Lastly, I would love to see a sponsorship from Telus to the community of Stewart, a rainbow sidewalk sponsorship, delivered to the District of Stewart, BC as an apology. I am a proud member of the 2SLGBTQ+ Community, and there are a number of others from the area. This would be a gift of your corporate responsibility back to the community, delivering a community message and a solution to your service faults can also hopefully be rectified. There is nothing worse than not hearing the person on the line, the call hanging up, because the tools you set up don't work. About that sidewalk, I am requesting that you get in touch with the Mayor, Angela Danuser, a donation set out, the install painted on Brightwell Street between Canada Post and the Stewart Public Library. I am certain that this will light up the minds, the futures of the youth in this community, and delivery a message of pride and joy for others. Thanks kindly Telus. I am going to be looking out for this and carefully monitoring how you respond to the issues caused by Telus in the community of Stewart, BC and area.

Hey there. Thanks for your feedback. Please note: to prevent doxxing, we have removed any instance of non-public figure names that cannot be immediately verified.

As you may be aware, this is a support-based forum that is largely powered by customers supporting other customers. We do offer limited support but given the public nature of forums and the need for private account information, we cannot look into the accounts of names randomly cited by any public post(s).

I do recognize you're looking for support and given the issue affects more than one person, I can send a note out to our local field team (or one servicing the region if there isn't a local tech) to see if they can steer us in the right direction.
